2019Red Wine
2019Red Wine
The 2019 Blackboard Red Wine was crafted from two vineyards across two AVAs in Washington State: Royal Slope (51%) and Columbia Valley (49%). Farmed using sustainable practices, the vines were hand-harvested in the early fall mornings of 2019. Upon arrival at the winery, each cluster was hand-sorted and destemmed. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged on French oak for three months (25% new). After extensive evaluation by our winemaking team, 6,240 cases were produced.
“Beautiful notes of currants, spice, raspberry jam, strawberry, and pureed plum. Hints of vanilla bean, cocoa powder, and berries carry the palate. A darker fruit wine with soft tannins and surprising complexity. A great window into a warm vintage here in Washington State.” - Bryan Otis, Proprietor
51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot
Awards & Accolades
"Aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and ground spice. Medium-to full-bodied with soft, silky tannins. Brooding, with pleasantly juicy red and black fruit. Walnuts, too. 51% cabernet sauvignon and 49% merlot. Drink now. Screw cap."
