2019Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 Blackboard Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from a single vineyard from Washington State: (84%) Cabernet Sauvignon (14%) Merlot. Farmed using sustainable practices, the grapes were hand-harvested in the early fall mornings of 2019. Upon arrival at the winery, each cluster was hand-sorted and destemmed. The wine was fermented in stainless-steel tanks, and aged for three months on French oak (65% new). After evaluation and blending by our winemaking team, 2,754 cases were produced.

Tasting Notes

“Beautiful notes of, strawberry preserve, blackberries, cinnamon, cocoa powder, milk chocolate, and hints of vanilla bean. A full-bodied wine with well-integrated tannins, complexity, and balanced acidity. A great window into a warmer vintage in Washington State.”

Awards & Accolades

"Incorporating 14% Merlot, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon offers more chocolate and spicy oak as well as darker fruit notes in a forward, delicious, impeccably made style. It's another juicy, front end-loaded beauty that has lots of character and represents a terrific value."
