The 2019 Blackboard Merlot was crafted from a single vineyard from Washington State: Conner Lee. Farmed using sustainable practices, the vines were hand- harvested in the early fall mornings of 2019. Upon arrival at the winery, each cluster was hand-sorted and destemmed. The wine was fermented in stainless- steel tanks, and aged on French oak for three months (30% new). After careful evaluation and blending by our winemaking team, 1,253 cases were produced.
"Beautiful notes of currants, dried fruits, pureed plum, dark chocolate and candied cranberries. This wine displays darker fruit characteristics, soft tannins, surprising complexity, and rich mouthfeel. A great representation of Washington State Merlot." - Soren Dietz, Winemaker

"Aromas of plums, crushed herbs and wet stone. Medium-bodied with soft tannins. Pleasantly juicy fruit and dark chocolate on the palate. Drink now. Screw cap."
